Faces and Places

While at the Guggenheim I ran into these two girls.  Was not able to catch their names but they were from Vancouver via France.  It got me thinking some of a few different people that I have came across.

Gypsy George
Gypsy is part of Todd's Band. We often run into each other at The Roots.  It is a bohemian coffee bar in Brooklyn.  He gave me the suggestion of buying cheap clothes instead of washing clothes. The Gypsy part, of Gypsy George comes from how he has lived all over.  From Chicago-land to California to New York as well as others. When I brought up Chicago he had been every where there as well.  From Libertyville to Buffalo Grove to the city.

Ken
Ken told me that, "Howard Stern is going to be coming through Central park. I know because  I come here during this time usually."  He went to talk about his family.  Then the subject turned to his wild times of the Manhattan Bar scene of the late 60s and Early 70s. We then started going back and forth about sports and about New York and Chicago.

Jared
Todd took me to the Village to get records.  When we got there Todd called up a friend he hadn't talked to in a while.  When Jared showed up he asked us to his nearby apartment.  Four minutes later we get to the front door and he had left his keys inside and we were locked out.  He tried calling his wife even though she was 20 minutes away.  Then, someone let us in the first door. The halls of his building are the way that I picture Paris.  Todd and Jared talked about their families and eventually we got into his place.

All you have to do is ask "Are you a New Yorker?", in the right way and then, listen.
